Thanks Ralph, but it has nothing to do with my problem. He's pointing to the picture location on the HDD.

I want to have option like on the screenshot above. When I lock my PC I want to be able to see where the picture was taken. That's the feature in Windows 10 that should be available after anniversary update ( version 1607 or above ).

You can read more about this Spotlight feature here:

http://www.intowindows.com/know-where-a-windows-spotlight-picture-was-taken/

Unfortunately, this option is not available for me despite having Windows 10 up to date.

To further assist you, kindly follow these steps:

  1. Change the Lock Screen setting from Windows Spotlight to Picture or Slideshow.
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. Change it back to Windows Spotlight to refresh the image data for Spotlight.
  4. Restart the computer.

If the same issue occur, kindly refer on thislink to run both the System File Checker (SFC) and DISM to check for system file corruption.

If both scans are good, follow the steps on thislink to create a new user profile.

Kindly check if the same issue will occur with the new user profile.

Keep us posted.

No errors in sfc /scannow or dism.

Same issue on new profile.
